AMA Recap: Battle of Guardians X Infinite Launch

1st Segment: QUESTIONS FROM HOST
Q1: Could you please tell us a little bit about yourself and your team? What are your past experiences?
I'm Alexander, I am a Computer Science Major specializing in Network security, but have also done research on blockchain technology as well!
Recently I've spent the past 3 years as a full-time streamer on twitch! Glad to be here everyone!
I’d be honored! Hey everyone! Argi here, one of the co-founders of BOG. My background is engineering but I’ve been in this space since 2017. Reviewed multiple DeFi and GameFi projects ever since.
Q2: Let’s give the audience a brief description of what Battle of Guardians is? How did you come up with the idea of Battle of Guardians? Is it influenced by any games you’ve played? (Argi)
Well, in short, Battle of Guardians (BOG) is a real-time multiplayer NFT fighting game developed in Unreal Engine. In BOG, players can utilize their digital asset of NFT Character(s) (Fighters) to engage in a fierce multi-realm battle. With three different races and three different tiers, BOG becomes an exciting battleground for players to try out their skills.
Yes it was! We played a lot of fighting games when we were kids. Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, you name it. Now, it turns out we still have that young blood running through our veins. Once we figured out the possibility to relive our childhood memories in the form of NFT inside the GameFi space, we just knew we had to make it come true. Alex and I met through our mutual friends. Given our expertise, we’ve decided to make this venture. Later on, we met with Orlando, our third co-founder. He brought his game studio with him in order to make the project come true. And not to forget, we are incubated by GG Labs. Hence, we are here today stronger than ever!

Q3: Could you share with us the current development stage of Battle of Guardians?
Yes of course! As you may know, we closed our fundraiser with a total raise of $4.4m. Now we are happy to attend a series of AMAs with the beloved communities behind our launchpads, including here, Infinite Launch.
The game itself is now PLAYABLE, even with multiplayer. Since we are adding more characters to the game, we cannot publish them to the public just yet. Now speaking of characters, we have created a total of 30 different NFT Characters (fighters) that players can choose to fight with! I can show you a glimpse of them here!.
Our in-house game-studio has been working rigorously to make sure the characters get implemented into the game on time and ready to fight!
In terms of smart contracts, they are up, audited, and ready to be used!
Q4: What are the competitive advantages of Battle of Guardians compared to its competitors? How do you plan to differentiate Battle of Guardians?
We know that there are many games developing with similar gameplay as us now. Some of them are still new, some announced a long time ago but give minimum updates. Battle of Guardians, on the other hand, is ready for play. We are working with an experienced game studio that has been working on multiple fighting games since 2013, Miracle Gates Entertainment.
Our different fighter races and tiers add complexity to the game so that players are kept excited every time they play the game. Multiple game modes, as well as including a tournament mode where players have a chance to win big!
We also believe in community-led development for this GameFi space. Therefore, we are trying to pay as much attention to our community. We’ll let them help us govern the development of BOG later down the line by utilizing our governance token, $BGS. I believe that’s the way for us to cut through the noise!
Q5: Please provide a detailed overview of the token $BGS, what are its use cases and tokenomics?
Absolutely! Our token is called $BGS and here's what you can do with it!
You can use it to purchase NFT characters and other in-game items inside the game.
You can also stake $BGS in order to participate in our NFT sales. Of course other than that you will be rewarded with staking rewards.
And since this is a governance token, holders of $BGS are eligible to vote for the development of BOG. Like what we’ve mentioned before, back to the community!
As for the token metrics, there will be a total of 1 billion $BGS tokens. They are distributed for multiple purposes such as play-to-earn, staking, liquidity, and more. You can find the whole thing about them here in our Medium posts about Token Metrics!

Q6: Can you share something about the next remarkable event of BOG on Infinite Launch?
We are proud to announce that $BGS will be up for grabs through Infinite Launch! On 4th January 2022, Infinite Launch will become the first launchpad to hold IDO for $BGS!

Q1: Does $BGS great project support staking program? If yes. how is $BGS stake system work, what is the requirement for users if they want to stake in $BGS platform?
My favorite question too! and the answer is yes! As I’ve mentioned previously staking is available with $BGS.. You can stake $BGS in our designated staking pool. Where tho? It looks like now you need to wait and see guys. We'll have more updates about $BGS staking soon!
Q2: What is the main vision and goal of your project! What are you trying to achieve in this highly competitive Blockchain space?
We want to bring the experience of Fighting games such as Tekken and Street Fighter into blockchain!
Normally it takes a lot of time and effort to be good in a fighting game, and for most players, it's hard to monetize or earn money from their efforts. BOG want to bring that competitive experience for players so players can enjoy playing AND also earn as well in the long run.
Q3: Revenue is a key factor for all projects to survive and keep the projects running. What is the way of generating profit and revenue? What is your revenue model?
Of course. We need some fuel to at least keep us going. Therefore, we have allocated several streams for that. But rest assured, we won't take revenue and make bucks if we don't add value to the community. Some of our revenue streams are the marketplace transaction fees for every time you transact in out marketplace. Other than that, is renting fee. To keep your digital assets productive,
We will try our best to keep the value of these services high by making it seamless and easy for you.
Q4: Can you list 1-3 killer features of this project that makes it ahead of its competitors? What is the competitive advantage your project has that you feel most confident about?
Yeah! Allow me to expound on some of the features of BOG we think is super neat!
Real time competitive Fighting : BOG is bringing Fighting games to the blockchain! If you love Street Fighter, then BOG is right up your alley! No turn-based gaming, BOG is fully skill-based, the better you are, the more you'll win!
Tier-based Fighters: The higher your fighter tier, the more skills/abilities you will be able to use!
Smart Contract-based Rent/Scholarship: No middleman! Lend your fighters for rent when you’re not utilizing them! Using smart contracts means that you can set your rates personally! It will also benefit Guilds who will be offering Scholarship access to our Fighters for the players!
Q5: What are the major utilities of holding the native token? How does the team plan to enhance token value so as to engage users for the long run?
We plan to support BOG long past its launch date, and to do that we need the support of the community!
Every one of our community member who holds our $BGS token will also automatically have the power of Governance! Governance allows community member to leverage their opinion and vote on how they want BOG to develop moving forward!
An example of one of our community governance for BOG is for community to choose/debate what kind of fighter they want to see next in BOG! We believe that the community is the future and we welcome their input!

Q1: Partnership is always an important factor for every project. So who is your partner? What are the benefits you get from those relationships?

Q2: People always check about safety and security from any project because much hack issues right now, I would like to know-how is the safety of your project? How did you make sure that you are secure?
We agree. We take security very seriously. That's why we have performed contract audits and it's now live. We have plans to make community bug bounties in the future as the game launch.

Q3. Marketing is a central element for every project so that everyone knows the potential that a project can bring is vital to achieve the goals set. What is your strategy to attract new users and Investor to your platform and keep them long term.
We're super excited to have everyone be included in BOG, especially non-crypto individuals such as traditional gamers! One of our big plans during our development phase is partnering up with E-sports organizations to help play and promote BOG! BOG is not just for crypto enthusiasts, we also want gamers, especially fighting gamers that they can be good at their game and earn as well!
We have great connections to the Local E-sports teams and fighting game communities, and believe that they can help send the message across! Our ultimate vision is to become a bridge for everyone to give Game-Fi a chance, through BOG!

Q4. A common problem is that nowadays most investors are only interested in initial profits and ignore long-term benefits! So can you give them some reasons why they should buy and hold your tokens in the long term?
We get asked this a lot! And we believe we can achieve such "token hodlers" by keeping on making stunning updates as we go along the way. We don't want BOG to become a project just for a quick buck. It's a project that is dear to our hearts.
Now, why should they hold on to $BGS? First, when you own $BGS you'll be able to stake them. Why stake? Because you'll get amazing APY and get this: a ticket to join our first NFT Sale. Why do you need NFTs? Because by owning NFT you get the chance to play our game early! Why you should hold on to NFTs? Because there will be features that'll benefit you such as NFT Renting, NFT Synthesis, and many more. The people will be rewarded!

Q5. Though the Play-2-Earn model has really contributed to the massive adoption of blockchain-based game. However, one of the negative sides of most P2E games is that they are designed to be too complex for a non-crypto player to navigate and understand. So what should gamers be expecting to see on BOG? Is it another complex game with virtually no fun or something filled with entertainment that will make them stay glued to their screen ?
BOG, a complex game with virtually no fun? I won't let that happen my friend! We are inspired by our childhood fighting games that kept us glued to our seats even today! That's what we want for everybody! To have leisure, have a fun competition with their close friends and family. And not only that, but you will also be rewarded for your efforts! That's what we really meant by play to earn.
